Through a generous gift from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Colburn is seeking applications from students between the ages of 10-18, interested in advancing their music education and increasing their prospects of attending college.

Herbert Zipper Scholars is a highly competitive scholarship program available to high-need, high-talent students, looking to expand on the foundation of their musical studies. The Herbert Zipper Scholarships will provide students, who would otherwise have limited access, an open gateway to educational excellence in music.

Each of the participants will experience a complete custom curriculum, based on a combination of applied lessons, chamber music, large ensembles and music theory.

To qualify, students must possess exceptionally promising skills (in instrumental, jazz instrumental or voice), a love for the arts, and a desire to further explore the breadth and depth of their musical education.

All young performers, at the intermediate level or higher, along with current Colburn Community School of Performing Arts students, are encouraged to apply.

Are you that student, teacher or parent? Apply now!
