Colburn alumna Jun Asai presents her annual solo piano recital. The program will begin with Beethoven’s last piano sonata, op. 111, followed by Chopin’s Sonata No. 2. Rounding out the program is the rarely performed Firebird Suite by Stravinsky (arr. Agosti).
The culminating event of Impulse New Music Festival’s 2024 summer program, this concert features premieres of 12 new works by this year’s cohort of outstanding early-career composers, performed by INMF’s world-class Festival Trios and Ensemble-In-Residence, Brightwork Ensemble.
