The Aching Beauty of German Romanticism
Camerata Pacifica’s Principal Pianist Warren Jones is the legendary collaborator with the greatest voices of our time, and of baritone Andrew Garland Marilyn Horne says, “[he] is a star singer beginning to bust forth. I am his devoted fan and supporter.”
The songs of Franz Schubert define the aching beauty of German romanticism and are the heart of this program. Violist Paul Coletti and Ani Aznavoorian join for equally beautiful song cycles by Charles Martin Loeffler and Walter Rabl, and interludes by Sir Hamilton Harty and Rebecca Clarke begin each half of the concert.
