STRAUSS Serenade in E-flat Minor
DVOŘÁK Serenade for Winds in D Major
BRAHMS Clarinet Quintet
Longtime London Symphony Orchestra principal and avid chamber musician Andrew Marriner performs a program of Romantic favorites. Richard Strauss’s lyrical Serenade in E-flat Major, written when the composer was only 13 years old, opens the concert, followed by and Dvořák’s Serenade for Woodwinds. Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet, a late work that nevertheless calls on the style and structure of Mozart, rounds out the program.
