Prior to performing on April 5’s Colburn Chamber Music Society concert, Marc Coppey leads cello master classes with Conservatory and Music Academy students.

French cellist Marc Coppey, winner of the two highest prizes at the Bach competition Leipzig at the age of 18, first prize and special prize for the best interpretations of Bach, is considered to be one of the leading cellists of today.

Each year distinguished performing and teaching artists visit campus and work with our students in master classes. Master classes offer a rare glimpse into the artistic, creative, and learning processes between performing artists of the highest caliber and students on the cusp of professional careers.
