Join us as Robert Ward, San Francisco Symphony Principal Horn, leads a master class with Conservatory students.

Robert Ward, San Francisco Symphony Horn, joined the San Francisco Symphony in 1980. A graduate of Oberlin College Conservatory, he also studied at the Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood. He is a founding member of the symphonic brass group the Bay Brass and he currently serves on the faculties of UC Berkeley and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Each year distinguished performing and teaching artists visit campus and work with our students in master classes. Master classes offer a rare glimpse into the artistic, creative, and learning processes between performing artists of the highest caliber and students on the cusp of professional careers.
