The Colburn School Library houses approximately 24,000 scores and parts, 8,000 audio-visual materials, and 5,000 books; valuable resources to our students, faculty, and staff. You have access to complete editions of works by major composers, texts detailing music and dance history, and videos of various performances. One highlight, acquired in 2008, is the Theodore Lettvin Music Collection. Students can review the American pianist’s scores, complete with performance markings. There’s also Gregor Piatigorsky’s archive featuring the cellist’s personal music, correspondence, photos, and memorabilia. Other notable collections include the Frances and Eleanor Meyers Chamber Music Collection and the Heller Audio and Video Collection. And of course, we have archived Colburn School ensemble performances and master classes.
