A veteran of the international concert stage, pianist Jon Kimura Parker has performed as a soloist with some of the world’s most renowned orchestras and conductors, and partners regularly with highly-acclaimed instrumentalists. Also a committed educator, he is Professor of Piano at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and has lectured at The Juilliard School, The Steans Institute, New York University, and Yale University. Mr. Parker received glowing reviews for his recent CD, Rite, which includes world premiere recordings of his solo piano transcriptions of Stravinksy’s The Rite of Spring and Petrouchka. We are proud to present a concert with Mr. Parker and select students and faculty of the Conservatory of Music.
