Foundation and Corporate Giving

Foundation Giving

As a nonprofit institution, the Colburn School relies on generous contributions from individuals and organizations that also appreciate the role performing arts plays in our culture. Our foundation partners, from small family trusts to large grant-making organizations, help us meet the needs of our students and community outreach efforts. Thanks to the various foundation support, we’re able to offer more than $1 million annually through scholarships and educational programs.

Corporate Giving

At the Colburn School, we understand we’re part of the larger Los Angeles community and we welcome the public to come enjoy the hundreds of performances our students and faculty put on every year. These events are great opportunities for corporations to showcase their support of the arts. We offer a variety of corporate giving benefits and can tailor branding possibilities to fit specific needs. Here are a few options available to our corporate partners:

Concert Series or Performance Sponsor

Throughout the year, the Colburn School hosts hundreds of performances, but the Colburn Orchestra from the Colburn Conservatory of Music is our flagship ensemble. The ensemble performs in some of the most prestigious venues in Los Angeles, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall, Segerstrom Concert Hall, and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. As a corporate sponsor, there are marketing and branding avenues through publicity, digital media platforms, recognition in concert programs, complimentary tickets, and backstage access to entertain clients.

Colburn School Corporate Sponsor

Based on the giving level, corporate sponsorship for the Colburn School offers many privileges, not the least of which is public acknowledgement at our two major annual fundraisers: Taste of Colburn and Colburn Gala. Additionally, corporate partners receive recognition in all concert programs, discounted and free ticket offers for employees, backstage and rehearsal access, and VIP experiences with conductors and performers.

Excellence in the Performing Arts Support

Our goal is to encourage a lifelong love for the performing arts to all who have a passion for music, dance, and drama, whether that’s through formal classes on campus or through programs that bring performing arts out to underserved communities. Every year, we award scholarships to students to attend our exceptional classes through the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts and the Colburn Music Academy. Additionally, we combine efforts with Los Angeles Unified School District Title I schools to introduce the performing arts to thousands of students. To maintain this level of commitment, we welcome the financial support from the corporate community.
