This event is nearing capacity. However, there are always no-shows for free events, and we have never had to turn away a patron. Patrons without tickets will be invited to join the standby line and allowed into the hall 5 minutes before the master class, if space is available.

Top chamber musicians lead an in-depth master class with Colburn students, offering a rare glimpse into the artistic, creative, and learning processes.

Lisa Batiashvili, the Georgian-born German violinist, is praised by audiences and fellow musicians for her virtuosity. An award-winning artist, she has developed long-standing relationships with the world’s leading orchestras, conductors, and musicians.

Gautier Capuçon is a true 21st-century ambassador for the cello. Performing internationally with many of the world’s foremost conductors and instrumentalists, he is acclaimed for his expressive musicianship, exuberant virtuosity, and for the deep sonority of his 1701 Matteo Goffriller cello “L’Ambassadeur.”

For more than three decades, Jean-Yves Thibaudet has performed worldwide, recorded more than 50 albums, and built a reputation as one of today’s finest pianists. His profound professional friendships crisscross the globe and have led to spontaneous and fruitful collaborations in film, fashion, and visual art.
