The LA community is invited to explore, be curious, pop in, and choose their own adventures at more than 10 participating cultural institutions on Grand Avenue. Stop by Colburn’s Plaza for fun family activities, then visit our friends on Grand Avenue. 

All Day
Instrument Petting Zoo 
Always wanted to play the trumpet, try a flute, or learn the saxophone? Stop by our instrument petting zoo to try an instrument of your choice, and get expert advice on getting started in music.

11am – 12pm
Open Sing
Do you like singing in the shower? Then you’ll love singing in a choir! Take your skills to the next level: Colburn’s choir director Adrian Dunn leads an open sing workshop for vocalists of all ages.

Office Hours
Learn more about the classes, events, and resources Colburn offers for students of all ability levels and ages. With special guest experts Susan Cook, Dean of the Community School for Performing Arts, and Darleen Callaghan, Associate Dean of the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute.

Conduct Us
Become the maestro for a chamber orchestra, no tuxedo required. Learn what it’s like to conduct an ensemble. Open to all ages and no experience necessary—just bring yourself and we’ll provide the baton.
