5:30 pm Q&A with Silas Farley, hosted by Jenifer Ringer

Nationally-acclaimed dancer, choreographer, and Amplify Series artist Silas Farley leads Dance Academy, Ballet 5, and Ballet 6 students in a 90-minute ballet technique class, followed by a Q&A hosted by Trudl Zipper Dance Institute Dean Jenifer Ringer.

A national dance star who has been profiled in The New York Times, Dance Magazine, The New Yorker, and Vogue, Farley joined New York City Ballet (NYCB) in 2012 and danced with the company until 2020, performing principal roles in the works of George Balanchine and Christopher Wheeldon and originating roles in ballets by Wheeldon, Lauren Lovette, and Justin Peck.

Each year, distinguished performing and teaching artists work with our students in master classes, offering a rare glimpse into the artistic, creative, and learning processes between performing artists of the highest caliber and students on the cusp of professional careers.
