Colburn Offers All-Day Family Fun at Fifth Annual Grand Ave Arts: All Access

Step up to the podium this Saturday, November 2 for Conduct Us. Now in its fifth year, Grand Ave Arts: All Access features family-friendly events up and down the street.

Five years ago, the cultural corridor on Grand Avenue got richer with the opening of The Broad, the contemporary art museum across the street from Colburn. On Saturday, November 2, arts organizations up and down the street will come together to throw what the Los Angeles Times has called the “mother of all open houses,” with free cultural activities for the Los Angeles community.

The event, called Grand Avenue Arts: All Access, has become a yearly celebration with 10 participating arts organizations, including The Broad, the Central Library, Colburn, LA Opera, Grand Park, LA Master Chorale, the LA Phil, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Music Center, and REDCAT. The event offers activities for the whole family—from workshops, to backstage tours, to interactive performances.

At Colburn, guests on campus can enjoy an interactive performance by Conservatory students, step up to conduct the Colburn Chamber Orchestra, participate in a sing-along, or listen to performances and rehearsals.
