2022 Celebrate Colburn Gala

Celebrate the Power of the Arts

Join one of classical music’s greatest icons, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, to kick off the second decade of Colburn’s Music Academy at the 2022 Celebrate Colburn Gala.

Jean-Yves Thibaudet, our 2022 Richard D. Colburn Award honoree, embodies an extraordinary commitment to nurturing the “whole artist”—a philosophy that includes artistic excellence, community engagement, and mentorship. Through the incredible artistic investment of Thibaudet and other world-class musicians and mentors, the Music Academy has quickly developed an international reputation for providing an unparalleled pre-collegiate music education in conjunction with exciting performance opportunities during an aspiring young artist’s most formative years.

On April 3, the students of the Music Academy will join their Conservatory of Music peers under the baton of the Salonen Conducting Fellows as they take the stage alongside Thibaudet in the School’s beloved Zipper Hall. Featuring an equally soulful yet spirited program, this is a performance not to be missed before enjoying an elegant dinner outdoors among like-minded arts advocates in Los Angeles.
