The competition is open to harpists up to the age of 30 who are national members of the American Harp Society and who are United States citizens or citizens of the Americas (North, Central, and South). He is a recipient of the Davidson Fellow Laureate Award and performs regularly with orchestras across the country.

Since her orchestral debut with the Utah Symphony at age 11, Aubree has been featured on NPR’s From The Top, won numerous awards, and performed with orchestras across the county. Summer 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip hop—the music, art, and style that transformed culture and politics worldwide. Chuck D, hip hop pioneer and co-founder of Public Enemy, Lisane Basquiat, sibling of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gil Vazquez, President of The Keith Haring Foundation, and Lorrie Boula, producer and curator, will discuss hip hop’s global impact, including its influence on visual art and culture of 1980s New York and beyond.
