VOX honors women in all their glory in this beautiful concert featuring a new piece from Jocelyn Hagen. Violinist Ray Ushikubo gives a thrilling recital performance in conjunction with Sounding Point Academy, Colburn’s summer program for advanced violinists. Known for his “disciplined focus and clarity… and marvelous dynamic nuance” (Arts Knoxville), Ray Ushikubo is a Japanese-American pianist and violinist who has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall, and appeared on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Hailed by the New York Times as “a brilliant soloist,” who “played with extraordinary precision and luminosity,” violinist Fabiola Kim enjoys a dynamic and versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and pedagogue. She is a Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Sounding Point Academy.
