The Colburn Contemporary Ensemble presents an exploration of color, texture, and atmosphere. Schuller’s haunting, dramatic Phantasmata for violin and marimba; Harrison’s Concerto for violin and gamelan-inspired percussion ensemble; and Bartók’s tour de force, Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, are performed in the intimate environment of Olive Rehearsal Hall.

Join us as we present a screening of Erwin Schulhoff: A Classical Music Jazz Prophet, the third episode of Recovered Voices 2021: Schulhoff and More, an online series that delves into the life and music of composer Erwin Schulhoff (1894–1942).
