We are delighted to be taking the next steps on our ambitious project to expand world-class training and performance opportunities for the next generation, by breaking ground on the Frank Gehry-designed Colburn Center.
The Colburn Center will dramatically increase the School’s facilities for music and dance, provide much-needed performance space in a mid-sized hall for the region’s established and emerging performing arts organizations, and will create the largest concentration of Frank Gehry buildings in the world.
Our Groundbreaking Ceremony and Celebration takes place on Friday, April 5 and we hope that you can join us for this historic event.
9:30 am Guests are invited to arrive at the site of the new building at the intersection of Olive and Second Streets. Please be seated before 10 am.
10:00 am Groundbreaking Ceremony
11 am to 2 pm Guests are invited to join the Colburn Community for a festive Groundbreaking Celebration on the Colburn School Plaza, with special performances and refreshments.
