Learn to Play Recorder

Colburn Teaching Artist Gina Luciani teaches you how to play the recorder and read basic music notation with songs such as Mary had a Little Lamb and All through the Night.

Meet Gina

A Colburn teaching artist, who guides you through each playing video. Gina is a professional flautist in Los Angeles who has spent her career performing in orchestras, on movie soundtracks, and on videos. Below is a video of Gina performing a piece by Astor Piazzola called the Histoire du Tango. The instrument you will learn to play is called the recorder, which is much like the flute you will hear on the video.
