Registration

The Colburn Community School of Performing Arts has an open-enrollment policy, which means most classes are available to students without mandatory auditions. Still, classes are in high demand and sometimes enrollment is limited. Keep reading for more specific information on the registration process.

New Student Registration

For summer 2020, open enrollment for all students begins April 27.

If you have never been enrolled at the Colburn School, or if your attendance has lapsed for at least one semester, then you qualify as a new student. Space in the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts is limited and priority is given to returning students.

All new students can register for classes online or by email. Although the calendar year is divided into three academic terms, new students are welcome to register any time during the semester.

New student registration for the 2020-2021 academic year will open on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Enrollment, however, will depend on timing and space availability.

If you choose to sign up for private lessons during either the fall or spring terms, we require a minimum of 16 lessons per semester or or 32 lessons for the academic year between August and May. If you wish to take fewer lessons, you must obtain written approval from the instructor and include it with your registration documents.

For summer lessons, visit the enrollment information page for pricing and discount information.

New students must submit an inquiry form before registering for lessons.

Continuing Student Registration

For summer 2020, registration for continuing students begins April 27.
